No, When two telephones on which Tippy Pad has been paired are both in the vicinity, only one of them will connect.

Given that only one of the two smartphones connects to Tippy Pad, if the parent leaving the vehicle is the one connected to the device, he or she will receive the 1st level alarm which he or she simply has to silence. In the meantime, the other parent’s smartphone will be connected to the Tippy Pad and will take over the management of the device.

Yes, Tippy Pad will remain active until it detects the presence of the child, thus consuming battery power.

The emergency text messages do not increase the telephone credit because they use the user’s data network (internet) and are provided as a free service exclusively by the Tippy Pad app.

The device uses only low energy bluetooth technology with frequency band 2.4 – 2.485ghz. It is CE certified to be used without any radiation hazard. Tippy Pad has also undergone specific tests (sar) that have shown values well below the legal terms.

Tippy Pad also works when other devices (e.g. Bluetooth headset, car speakerphone, smartwatch) are connected to the same smartphone.

The notification text messages are sent via a virtual SMS server, which in its turn is activated by the management server of the Tippy app. 
If the audible alarm is disabled, the app communicates with the server (via web) which requests the virtual SMS server to send a message to the numbers entered in the Tippy Pad telephone contacts. There is no charge to the customer for this type of service, regardless of the telephone operator.

In order for emergency messages to be sent, the user’s data network must be active. If the user is in an area with low network coverage, messages will be sent as soon as the coverage is resumed. The app will still be able to receive sound notifications via Bluetooth.

We remind you that the decree-law n.122 of 2 October 2019 concerning anti-abandonment devices does not oblige the devices to send emergency calls or messages.

The battery of the device lasts 4 years (with an average daily use of two hours). The battery is neither rechargeable nor replaceable.  Digicom has made a choice for a consumer safety reason so that replacing or recharging it does not affect its functionality. Furthermore, Digicom has chosen to use a battery that can withstand up to 85 degrees, because inside the car you can reach very high temperatures. Commercially available replaceable batteries do not normally withstand temperatures above 60 degrees. Tippy Pad battery guarantees maximum performance and safety even in extreme weather conditions.

If the battery is low, the user will be notified by a message in the app and on the main screen, he will be able to see the low battery icon of the associated Tippy Pad.

Commercially available replaceable batteries do not normally withstand temperatures above 60 degrees. Tippy Pad battery guarantees maximum performance and safety even in extreme weather conditions.
